For Athletic Directors
Your coaches are being told the mental game matters, then left to teach it themselves.
There's a way to run mental toughness training across every program at once, where the athletes learn to actually use it and the coaches get trained at the same time. Thirty minutes and I'll show you how it works in a school like yours.
Book 30 Minutes With Matt Athletic directors only. Nothing to prepare. Why It Never Sticks
Every solution on the market lands on one coach's desk.
One team at a time
A program books a speaker, has a great week, and it's gone by the next road trip.
The coach carries it
Sports psych gets added to a job that's already full, to someone never trained to teach it.
No reps
Athletes hear concepts. Under real pressure they go straight back to what they already do.
A Different Way To Do It
Build it in at the department level, not the team level.
- Every program, one language What an athlete learns in the fall still applies in the spring, and every coach in the building knows what it means.
- Athletes learn to run it themselves Techniques they apply in the huddle, at the line, in the last two minutes. They practice implementing, not memorizing.
- Coaches get trained at the same time Same material, built for the coach's seat. They come out better at leading under pressure, which outlasts any one season.
We grow together or we die together.
A department doesn't get tougher one team at a time.
The 30 Minutes
What the call actually is.
- It's not a pitch I'll tell you straight whether this fits your department. If it doesn't, I'll say so.
- Bring the real situation The program that's underachieving. The coaches asking for help you don't have. The culture problem you can't name yet.
- Budget comes up, and that's fine Athletic budgets are what they are. That's a faster conversation with a person than with a price page.
Who you'd be talking to
I'm Matt Phillips. I played Division 1 baseball at Creighton and professionally in Austria's Bundesliga, and I've spent 14+ years coaching the mental side of the game with pro athletes from the Braves and Cubs, college programs like Colorado and Creighton, and high schools across the country. I run these calls myself.
Make the mental side a real priority this year.
